Terms of Service

  • Version 1.1Effective 2026-07-30

Adds the Creator Marketplace section in the present tense, and names the marketplace in the opening scope sentence, for the launch of creator profiles. States that hiring is between the business and the creator, that LivingRGV is not a party to it, that no payment for creative work passes through the platform, and that we do not guarantee work quality or payment. No other section changed.

  • Version 1.0Effective 2026-07-29

Initial draft. Not reviewed by counsel.

Privacy Policy

  • Version 1.4Effective 2026-08-27

Discloses the LivingRGV newsletter. Separates transactional email — which cannot be switched off while a listing is active — from the newsletter, which is a separate and explicit opt-in that is never added from a claim, a business submission, or a contact message. States what a subscription stores: email address, the city selected if provided, the subscription date, and a hashed record of the IP address used only to prevent automated signups. States that the list is not sold, rented, or shared, that every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe, and that an opt-out is recorded so an address is not re-added. Replaces v1.3's statement that we do not send marketing email, which the newsletter made false. No new subprocessor, no new cookie, and no change to advertising or to interaction counting.

  • Version 1.3Effective 2026-08-07

Discloses first-party interaction counting on creator profiles: profile views, marketplace impressions, messages started, taps on a creator's listed email or phone, social link opens, and portfolio video plays — and that these totals are shown to the creator about their own profile. States that the content of a message is not part of these counts. Extends the 400-day automatic deletion to cover them, matching the window already applied to listing interaction counts. No new subprocessor, no new cookie, and no change to advertising.

  • Version 1.2Effective 2026-08-04

Discloses the Meta advertising pixel and Conversions API: what is sent, that email is hashed rather than sent in readable form, and that this is targeted advertising under Texas law. Discloses the YouTube embed, which sends IP and user-agent to Google when the video area renders — an omission present since the video shipped and independent of advertising. Adds the advertising opt-out with its real limits: on by default, not retroactive, stored per browser, reset by clearing site data.

  • Version 1.1Effective 2026-07-31

Discloses first-party interaction counts (listing views, action-button taps, coupon visibility, search impressions) recorded in our own database rather than through Google Analytics, and states what those records contain and what they deliberately omit — no IP address, no user-agent, no account identifier, only a daily-rotating random session token used for de-duplication. Adds the business-facing disclosure that a claimed listing's owner sees counts for its own page. Replaces the Data Retention section: v1.0 stated that no automated deletion exists anywhere in the system, which a 400-day purge of interaction events makes untrue. Clarifies that these counts are not sent to Google. No other section changed.

  • Version 1.0Effective 2026-07-29

Initial draft. Accuracy-audited against code; not reviewed by counsel.

Creator Portfolio Licence

  • Version 1.1Effective 2026-08-04

Adds video to the portfolio grant: moving images, their audio, and the automatic processing (encoding, thumbnails, poster frames, multiple resolutions) required to play them back. Adds a rights statement about music and audio specifically. No change to which surfaces the work may appear on.

Text Message Consent

  • Version 1.0Effective 2026-07-31

Initial version. The text a user sees beside the SMS opt-in checkbox: who sends, that consent is not required to use LivingRGV, approximate frequency, message-and-data-rates, and STOP to unsubscribe. Operator-approved wording pending; not reviewed by counsel.
